    I've added extra weight inside to prevent from opening gaps between the cubes when you're not holding the model. Depending on the type/size of paper they're not needed. I folded one with 18cm x 18cm origami paper and it was ok without extra weight.

    If you don't have cotton balls available, you can use crumpled paper as an alternative. (Btw, there is a tutorial here:
